About Me

Hi, I’m Daniel.

I’ve always been drawn to questions that start with why.

Why do we say “break the ice”?

Where did “spill the beans” come from?

How have these expressions lasted for centuries, even as the world has changed so much?

These questions are what brought me here.

As an English teacher, I’ve helped students with vocabulary, grammar, and communication. Over time, I noticed that the words themselves have stories that are just as interesting as the lessons.

This website is my place to explore those stories.

I don’t have all the answers, but I enjoy looking into reliable sources, linking history to today, and sharing what I find in a simple way.

Whether you’re learning English, teaching it, or just like asking “Why?”, I hope you’ll find something here that helps you see familiar expressions in a new way.

Thanks for joining me on this journey.

After all, every idiom has a story, and every story starts with curiosity.
