Idiom Series
Why start this series? Every idiom is a small piece of history that has lasted because people kept finding it meaningful. When we learn an idiom, we're not just adding new words to our vocabulary. We're also taking on a story that someone, somewhere, thought was worth sharing. This is the first of many idioms we'll look at together, as we explore the reasons behind the words we use every day.
Idiom Series Mission: To discover stories lost or forgotten in everyday words and bring them back to life.
Everyday Curiosities Series
Why start this series?
Every day, we go through moments that seem totally normal.
We see the sky change colors at sunset. We yawn when someone else does. We ask ourselves why onions make us cry, why coffee helps us feel awake, or why time appears to speed up as we get older.
Most of us just accept these things and keep going.
But behind every common moment, there’s an amazing story.
Sometimes, science delivers the answer to us. Other times, it’s history, psychology, nature, or just our own curiosity. No matter where the answer comes from, these questions show us that the world is much more interesting than it seems at first.
This series opened with a simple idea:
The more we learn about everyday things, the more amazing life feels.
Everyday Curiosities Series Mission: Our goal is to find the remarkable stories within ordinary moments and to spark a lifelong curiosity about the world.
